Titanium Boron Refining Flux
Working Principle
The titanium boron refining agent dissolves rapidly in aluminum melt at 730~760℃, forming a large number of dispersed high-melting-point TiB₂ and TiAl₃ particles. TiB₂ has a very high lattice compatibility with aluminum, acting as a heterogeneous nucleation core; the outer TiAl₃ layer protects TiB₂ from agglomeration and oxidation. During aluminum solidification, these microparticles simultaneously induce aluminum atom crystallization, inhibiting the growth of coarse columnar and feathery crystals, ultimately forming a uniform and fine equiaxed crystal structure.

Advantages
1. Strong Grain Refining Effect: It can refine millimeter-level coarse grains to within 100μm, achieving first-class grain size standards and eliminating coarse columnar crystals.
2. Significantly Reduced Casting Defects: It reduces hot cracking, shrinkage porosity, cold shuts, and compositional segregation, resulting in higher billet density and suitability for continuous casting production in round billet tube molds.
3. Enhance the overall performance of aluminum materials: Simultaneously improve tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation; reduce extrusion resistance and increase extrusion speed; improve rolling yield.
4. Improve post-processing quality: Anodized profiles exhibit uniform and bright color with no color difference, and do not affect aluminum surface treatment processes.
5. Convenient for production and use: Both block and filament forms can be added online; rapid dissolution and diffusion with low burn-off; compatible with melting furnaces, holding furnaces, and continuous casting production lines for all types of aluminum rods, plates, and foils.
